Bifnocho
Bifnocho is a cultural platform in Tel Aviv designed to spark dialogue and self-exploration. It creates a setting where questions matter more than answers, where discomfort is embraced rather than avoided. By blending self-reflection with collective dialogue, the platform invites people to pause, confront what is unspoken, and rediscover the power of curiosity as a driver for social and cultural change.
In a landscape where civic initiatives often carry the weight of identity politics, Bifnocho positions itself differently: not as another partisan voice, but as a space for everyone. The name itself is the key. Drawn from colloquial Hebrew, “בפנוכו” is direct, human, and unpretentious. It bypasses political or elitist associations, signaling instead honesty, playfulness, and a willingness to go deeper – into the inner layers of thought and identity.
Simple yet loaded with meaning, the mark hides the letter Bet within Peh, revealed only through negative space. It becomes a visual metaphor for Bifnocho’s purpose: uncovering inner layers, exposing what lies beneath, and creating dialogue between inside and outside, seen and unseen. More than a typographic gesture, it is a mark that turns the very act of questioning into form.
